Matt is feeling confident and ready for the next phase of his career as he steps into his new role as Associate Principal. He’s been pushing toward this moment, putting in the hard work to bring his goals to fruition. With his promotion, Matt is more focused than ever on how he can help the firm move forward. He plans to take a hands-on approach in ensuring consistent and timely communication with clients. Matt dedicates his time to mentoring young architects and designers and exposing them to all aspects of the design process further showcases his commitment to the firm’s growth.
As part of his plan to elevate the firm and its knowledge base, Matt is also working on expanding his representation efforts. He’s actively involved in presenting at industry events, including an upcoming session for the Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center New Patient Tower and a series for the AIA on master codes. These opportunities allow him to showcase the firm’s expertise and stay at the forefront of industry conversations. Currently, he is working on several exciting projects, including the new patient tower and emergency department for Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center, an ambulatory care center for the Center for Advanced Orthopedics, and some pharmacy projects for WellSpan Health, all of which reflect his ongoing dedication to impactful healthcare design.
Looking to the future, Matt is particularly excited about the firm’s potential for growth. He’s eager to expand the firm’s client base, and to deepen the firm’s presence with large groups in the region. He is excited to see the shift toward more modern, cool spaces that move away from that institutional feel, embracing timber construction and unique design elements that make lasting impressions for patients. With Matt’s vision and drive, the future is bright for both him and the firm.
