Wilmot Sanz is excited to join Christiana Care and members of the local community in celebrating the dedication of Phase 1 of the Wilmington Hospital Transformation Project. The ceremony, on May 31, 2013, unveiled the Carol A. Ammon South Tower, featuring a new main lobby and expanded emergency department for the hospital. Over the coming months, the remainder of the modernized facility will open in phases. Improvements include:
- An expanded Center for Advanced Joint Replacement
- A new, technologically advanced surgical suite
- Private patient beds
- The new Gateway Center, offering primary care and specialty practice space
- A peaceful atrium and healing garden
This investment in the downtown Wilmington campus will allow Christiana Care to continue to provide access to affordable, state-of-the-art healthcare for local residents and will bring hundreds of new jobs into the community.
