Replacement assisted living and rehabilitation center

This new facility, owned by Frederick County, will completely replace the site's existing building with a four story rehabilitation center and two story assisted living facility. The Montevue Home includes all private rooms, each equipped with a refrigerator and microwave as well as private bathrooms. A memory box is located outside the rooms' doors, to individualize each resident's entryway and assist with wayfinding for those experiencing memory loss.

Public gathering spaces are designed to inspire a sense of warmth and community amongst residents, staff, and visitors and include a library with a fireplace and landscaped outdoor courtyards with gazebos and water features. Other amenities for residents include sun-filled day rooms, a multipurpose activity room, living room, laundry room, an enclosed porch, and a dentist.
