Expansion of clinical, outpatient and inpatient care services

The design of the Schweizer Pavilion at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center includes a combination of renovation and new construction. The first floor design consists of an expansion of the existing Emergency Department to allow relocation for fast tracking, a new ambulance bay and a new walk-in entrance.

New construction on the second floor includes 20 private post-partum patient rooms, including a level I nursery. Renovation on the second floor includes eight LDRs with support services, two C-section rooms with recovery areas, 12 NICUs, eight progressive care nurseries and four in-patient dialysis areas.

The third floor of new construction houses eight Operating Rooms, including two Cardiovascular ORs, two Orthopedic ORs, one Neurology OR and three general ORs. The renovation of the third floor houses support services for the Surgery Department, including Central Sterile Supply.
